| ABSTRACT A survey of Malaysian use of audio on the World Wide Web (WWW) was conducted through the Internet. Client machines need to be properly configured with the correct hardware and software to playback the many different audio file formats available. Findings indicate that a majority of Malaysian Internet users browse the WWW using a multimedia IBM compatible personal computer equipped with the Netscape Navigator WWW browser, and that a significant number of users are not fully utilising the capabilities of their multimedia PCs or their WWW browsers due to a lack of know how in terms of both adequate hardware and software configurations. |
