     Kertuk buluh  is a stamping-type instrument. A specially cut slit functions as a sound hole. Previously, this instrument was used to chase away birds during the harvest season. Nowadays, kertuk buluh is used as a prop for contemporary community dances. (Nik Mustapha, 1998).
