Name: DI
The di is a transverse flute made of bamboo. Approximately 12 different sizes are used in the Chinese orchestra. The group photo below was taken in a Malaysian Chinese medium primary school and cannot be said to be representative of the numbers of di usually found in a Chinese orchestra (usually only one or two!).
